What's happening at the San Joaquin Valley International Trade Association and some information on past events that are of interest to locals and visitors to the region alike.

The California Centers for International Trade Development and California Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with WUSATA, will be participating in a Southeast Asia Retail Buying Mission which will meet with qualified foreign buyers interested in development of the mind and sourcing U.S. product for distribution and sale in Malaysian retail markets. Company visits and tabletop activities will take place in San Francisco , California

Southeast Asia Trade Mission and Western Products Showcase in Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand in September 2007. This will be an excellent opportunity for companies interested in Southeast Asia, where U.S. food exports to the Philippines increased by 24 percent, and those to Thailand and Malaysia increased by 20 percent and 17 percent respectively. For interested participants, the trade mission will coincide with the AsiaFood Expo 2007 (AFEX) in the Philippines.

The California Centers for International Trade Development and the California Department of Food and Agriculture, in cooperation with the Western United States Trade Association, will be coordinating participation in diet reviews and the Korean Retail Buying Mission.

The U.S. Commercial Service Brazil is leading a Brazilian and a Paraguayan buyer delegation that will attend FISPAL LATINO 2007, a processed food and beverage show that will take place at Miami Beach Convention Center, on May 31 - June 2, 2007.

The California Centers for International Trade Development, in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and Western United States Agricultural Trade Association, will be coordinating participation in fitness foods and the following activity: Mexican Televised Cooking Show. Filming: October 1- 5, 2007 (Deadline to register September 15, 2007), In Monterrey, Mexico.

U.S. Companies Visiting Brazilian BioFuel & Renewable Energy Companies. The California Centers for International Trade Development, in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture, will be leading a trade mission to SЦo Paulo, Brazil for market opportunities in the production and use of biofuels and renewable energy.
